Matthias Bauer studied business administration with a focus on business informatics and corporate management at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (2001-2005). He later completed studies in media management at Steinbeis University in Berlin, SDA Bocconi Management School in Milan and Stern Business School in New York, where he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (2008-2010).
Bauer began his career in 2005 in Controlling at Vogel Business Media (now Vogel Communications Group) and subsequently worked as Business Development Manager in the Vogel Future Group. In 2008 he took over the management of Web Development. In 2010 he was appointed Director International Business & Strategy of Vogel Communications Group (VCG) and took over the development of the agency business at the Berlin location. In the course of this Matthias Bauer took over the management of the Vogel subsidiaries ngn - new generation network GmbH in 2012 and Vogel Corporate Media GmbH and Vogel Ventures GmbH in 2013. In 2015 he became Chief Corporate Development Officer of the entire Vogel Group. In 2016 Bauer also became a member of the management board of Vogel Business Media.
In 2017 he was appointed Managing Director with a focus on the digital transformation of the group. Since November 2018, Matthias Bauer has been Chairman of the Management Board (CEO) for the Vogel Communications Group.

As a graduate aerospace engineer and after a career at McKinsey&Co, Prof. Wegener started his career at Siemens in 1996.
As the first "Chief Technology Officer (CTO)" of the business unit "Industrial Solutions & Services (I&S)" he built up a new kind of innovation management within 3 years, which significantly increased the company's innovative ability.
In 2011 he took over the management of the "technology forge" ATS (Advanced Technologies & Standards) of the Siemens Industry Sector in Nuremberg. The main focus of ATS is the apron development of "embedded software, power electronics, automation technology for discrete and process industries" and the coordination of standardization activities for the Industry Sector.
As part of the realignment of Siemens AG, he took over as head of the newly founded "Industry 4.0" office in the Digital Factory Division in October 2014. From February 2016, he will head "External Cooperation" in Siemens Corporate Technology, which is responsible for research policy and funding orientation both nationally and internationally for Siemens AG.
In addition, Prof. Wegener took over the role of spokesperson for the "Industry 4.0 Leadership Circle" in ZVEI in 2014 and was elected Vice President of the "German Commission for Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology" (DKE) in 2015, which draws up the standardization and standardization roadmap for Germany. Iris Plöger was born in Hamburg in 1971. She is married and has three children. She studied law in Kiel and the United Kingdom. She then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Business and Tax Law at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. After the Second State Examination in Law, Iris Plöger worked as a lawyer with a focus on competition and IT law at the international business law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 2000. In 2004 she joined the legal department of the BDI and in 2015 she took over as head of the department for digitalization and industrial value-added structures at the BDI. In 2016, she became head of the department for digitization, innovation and health care management at BDI.
Iris Plöger has been a member of the BDI's executive board since April 2017.

Received his doctorate in media communications in 2010 and subsequently worked at Accenture as a consultant for training development and social collaborative learning. After his habilitation at the Institute for Media Research at Chemnitz University of Technology, he was offered a professorship in socioinformatics in 2017. During this time, he was primarily concerned with suspense research, emotion modelling and new forms of human-computer interaction. Empirical focus is the acquisition and processing of physiological parameters and the system reactions derived from them.

Diana Kinnert

Diana Kinnert is a politician of the CDU and an independent entrepreneur, consultant and publicist. She also works for various research institutes and think tanks.
Kinnert was born on 16 February 1991 in Wuppertal. Her father is a Silesian late repatriate, her mother was an immigrant from the Philippines. After graduating from high school, Kinnert studied political science and philosophy as well as social sciences at the universities of Göttingen, Amsterdam (NL), Cologne and Berlin.

Kinnert is a member of the CDU since 2009. Since April 2015, she has worked on the staff of the now deceased Vice President of the German Bundestag Peter Hintze MdB (CDU) in Berlin; since July 2015, she has headed his office as a member of parliament. A particular focus of her work was the legislative initiative to liberalise euthanasia.
In October 2014, Kinnert founded the Youth Advisory Council of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and, at the request of the then CDU Secretary General Dr. Peter Tauber MdB, he became a member of the CDU Federal Commission on the party reform "My CDU 2017". There she chaired the working group youth. The results of the commission's work were adopted at the CDU's federal party conference in December 2015.

Since 2016 Kinnert has been advising various actors in the political process. She supports the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation Dr. Gerd Müller MdB in his sustainability offensive for the African continent and is involved as an advisor for the Global Perspective Initiative for international understanding and global development founded by Dr. Ingrid Hamm and Stephan Balzer. Furthermore, Kinnert works in projects at the interface of health care and digitalisation, neurodiversity and prison reform.

Since 2018, her political work has focused in particular on the topics of technology, demography, anti-isolation, urbanization and participation. Kinnert calls for a radical renewal of the state system and its architecture, including the governmental and ministerial structure and the civil service.

Stefan Henkel studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Universität Bamberg, wo er auch promovierte. Nach seiner Tätigkeit als Assistenzprofessor und freiberuflicher IT-Berater begann er seine Siemens-Karriere im Jahr 1996 bei Siemens Management Consulting in München. Im Jahr 1997 wurde er Direktor für Supply Chain Consulting bei Corporate Procurement and Logistics. Nach weiteren Führungspositionen in anderen Abteilungen wechselte er 2006 zu Customer Services im Healthcare Sektor, wo er für den globalen "Product Support" und "Siemens Remote Service" verantwortlich war. After my Bachelor in Event Management & Tourism, I am now venturing a detour into the industry. It inspires me when people can come together and experience something together. With my background in tourism, my passion is to inspire people and create unforgettable, individual experiences for them. Such experiences have already played a decisive role in my last project and have dealt with different people and cultures. Everyone is part of a community, with similar interests and a sense of belonging.
