Description

An overview of the possibilities of the component simulation.

The additive manufacturing processes open up both new possibilities and new challenges. Numerical simulation is already often used as a supporting tool. Everybody knows the synergies that the physics-driven component design shows through topology optimization with the free design possibilities of additive manufacturing. In addition to an optimal form finding especially adapted for additive manufacturing, the virtual representation of the manufacturing process of the product is essential. Only this makes it possible to predict the thermal stresses caused by the high local heat input during the melting process and thus to determine the resulting distortion of the component in advance and to avoid misprints. This webinar gives an overview how to approach these tasks with ANSYS Mechanical Additive Process Simulation, ANSYS Additive Print and ANSYS Topology Optimization.

What will participants learn from your webinar?
  • 75% weight reduction through simulation
  • 25% reduction of installation space through topology optimization
  • Minimize component scrap, increase efficiency and save costs
Why should you watch/participate?
  • In this webinar you will learn how to make the right decisions in advance for 3D printing and how to optimally develop components for this purpose
Who is the target group of this webinar?
  • Development Manager
  • Product developer
  • Designers in additive manufacturing
  • Print service provider
  • Materials Researcher

Company profile

Because Simulation is more than just Software!
CADFEM GmbH is a leading provider of software, services and knowledge in numerical simulation and a long standing Certified Elite Channel Partner of ANSYS, Inc.. With over 180 employees at six locations in Germany - Grafing, Berlin, Cmenitz, Dortmund, Hannover, Stuttgart - CADFEM sells and supports the complete range of products from ANSYS. The comprehensive partnership between CADFEM and ANSYS, the world’s largest independent developer of simulation software, began more than 35 vears ago, in 1985.

CADFEM specialists are expert in the entire Ansys simulation portfolio - from structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, electromechanics, electromagnetics, optics, materails, motions, electronics to embedded software applications.

As software does not guarantee the success of simulation, CADFEM customers take advantage of everything they need to tap the complete potential of simulation in thei product development process: leading simulation software (Ansys, ROCKY DEM, Motor-CAD) and IT solutions, consulting services, user support, customization of workflows and software, as well as a broad range of trainings, ranging from.

CADFEM GmbH belongs CADFEM Group, the umbrella organization of engineering simulation providers all alround the world.
