"ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING – The Future of Making Things”

The heart of the digital factory - additive manufacturing is one of the revolutionary production methods of the future. Additive and conventional manufacturing are not in competition, but complement each other in many ways. Traditional manufacturing is suitable for large quantities of identical components with low complexity, AM for smaller quantities of different components with high complexity. As AM becomes increasingly mature for series production, this digital production technology is also finding its way into more and more factories and into series production. In addition, work is being done on the automation of the additive value-added chain and on networking with conventional methods.

How can a reliable AM series production with consistent product quality be achieved? Which challenges have to be mastered? How can the connection between AM and traditional production succeed and what role does AM play within the framework of digitally connected and fully automated production?

09:30 Opening "Welcome you all"
by moderator Norbert Gierlich and host Joscha Riemann, Head of Mission Additive

09:45 Keynote Interview "Potentials of additive manufacturing in the industrial environment, especially for SMEs. What are the hurdles for a broader use of AM"
with Dr. Stefan Kamlage, Erweiterter Vorstand Bereich Technik, Verband 3DDruck e.V.

10:10 Masterclass "Quo vadis 3 D printing? New horizons for flexible local manufacturing hubs due to the current crisis with metal AM as an example"
with Dipl. Ing. Stefan Ritt, Vice President EMEA operations, SPEE3D & Chairman AMUG Committee.

The Industry Days are a monthly online event series to highlight user-generated content from our community of professionals and industry experts

The world is full of knowledge, thought leadership and digital approaches. We want to transform the way of perceiving and consuming information and inspiration. Let’s dive into the B2B industry community and get the most out of the interactive platforms like virtual conferences, online meet-ups, webinar sessions and live interviews.

We will bring together excellent thought leaders, exchange experiences and give valuable inspiration for your business. From the industry – for the industry! Live or on-demand – wherever you are!
